Different colors from leaves of green,
creating a collage we had forgot to have seen.
A breath of cool takes over the night,
reminding that winter is just beyond sight.
Then they do brown and slowly fall,
laying on the ground, shriveled  and small.

Slowly dissolving back into the ground,
mixing with loam to come back around.
For seeds have dropped with the fall,
sleeping quietly until the call.
Spring went fast, and summer came,
funny how it seems to be, also life’s game.

For the Spring of youth, then growing strong,
Summer became time of pulsing song.
Then Fall did come with maturity wise,
with the breath of Winter beyond the rise.
So watching the leaves as they began to fall,
I realize more strongly of the time to give all.

Dear Logan, I'm not too sure why, but, by the time I got to the last stanza I was in tears.  I grow so melancholy at this time of year...as beautiful as it is, it is still a sad time for me.  Enjoyed this brilliant write gentle friend.  ~warm hugs, Nancy~

So that you won't ever forget me.~

Logan, tis the season of fall poetry. But I thought the south did not get the falling leaves and such. Do you? I think this is the ONLY season worth much in New Hampshire, and its beautiful. But very short.
Nicely done poem again, dear friend.

Logan--My favorite time of year, fall..and I think favorite time of life too.  But each has its sun and shadow, as all things.  Hugs!

very very cool poem here Logan...
wonderful and wise comparisons of the seasons and growing older..
and of course you wrap your wisdom in your gift for rhyme divine and lovely imagery.
well done sweet keeper.

We're all feeding our lonely ... like it might go away,
Like the doors of heaven will swing wide ... if we just find the right words to say.

Nice metaphor here, Logan.  I hope, however, that Mr. Seedy (you know who you are, 'Deer) doesn't get any ideas about getting young again - lol.
