I found a portal to unconsciousness in joy
a frame around all that is praised and unveiled.
Yet no image to my words can serve expression
for in loving you, I imminently failed.

From rapture fell a scorn of incapacity,
in breath and distance, wander now I must.
My purpose lent and passion poured is haunting.
I bind and ground unwillingness to dust.

How utterly I strip these damning lines
to shed the foretaste left from bittersweet!
Oh, let me pass, ungenerous spirit free-
give sound to voiceless rage on winds complete.

My weeping fresh, I grieve your death, in pain!
I write a shallow sweetness for release!
And though the phoenix burns ‘fore resurrection
One fortnight, soon, I know she will increase.

For when you were my own, my love, you came
to clear a threshold to my heart and soul!
Now take my pulse to beat against thy own
inflowing to myself and breathe me whole!

You loved me with lasciviousness and purity,
now save me from myself, restore my dignity.

Welcome Lady! You've got quite a flair here. Sorry I've been remiss in welcoming you, I have been trying to play catch up for awhile, but please know I appreciate your reading and I am enjoying your work as well.
I look forward to more!

This is the second I have read of yours, and it is spectacular, as was the first. Flawless style.

Thank you for reading, I'm not at my best right now,
but I will try from time to time to offer something. I appreciate your words. I really do.

this is fabulous writing...outstanding and impressive.
the cadence, the vocabulary, the classic poetic phrasing and language and the empassioned aching conflict of the emote.
very very well done Lady S.
