you promised you wouldn't hurt me
you promised not to lie
you told me your special
not another lying guy

just wanted someone to love me
someone of my own
someone to grow with...
maybe have a real home

been watchin my mama
walk on the street
not cause she's bad
because we had to eat

i can't see it

my mama gave up everything
to make sure of that
so i wouldn't be a trick brat

i go to school
sometimes we don't eat
mama washes our clothes
we clean
and we neat
anyone who sees me
they never gonna know that

tell you what i think
lets walk to the door

you think you something
you think you special?
you think your so cool
you must be mistaken
i ain't no fool

boy what you talkin
that ain't love
you talk much smack
boy are .you playing?
are you for real?
pick up your stuff
and hit the road
what you mean
if i love you???????
oh no boy..
don't give me that act

A sad, but very good story.
