A Moment

Life is but a sweet moment
how quickly the seconds pass
young to old..
like the sand in an hourglass.

The wish of the young is for age
to be free and in their prime
old to young..
to turn back the moments of time.

Why is it no one is content
with each moment they are in
Alas, there is no joy..
for each precious second within.

Life is so short
we wonder where it went
make haste..
enjoy each new moment with joy and content.

Savor each moment as it shall be the last
give thanks for life is special
young to old..
each sweet moment becomes your past.

I often  wonder why  many are not  content with a moment they live out...I think it's because we are always striving to better ourselves.

Nice thoughts, misty one. Some people are content...you just don't hear about them because they're not complaining...
