The rabbit’s in my garden.
What am I going to do?
There’s not a single vegetable
that she hasn’t chewed.
Are my crops so desirable,
she nibbles all in sight?
Perhaps that little rascal
has too great an appetite.

Knew that pest would come around,
Just a matter of time;
wished to keep my nurtured beds
safe, pristine, and mine.
It's hard work cultivating
this quiet spot of bliss,
anticipating that harvest day
I'll share with whom I wish.

So why did I not realize
(had fretting made me dense?)
that maybe she was already there
when I built my fence?
