There is a time when all is gray,
and the sun is shielded in your day.
Not from rain and not from cloud,
but deep inside a covering shroud.
Wrapping around until you're bound,
sqeezing away without a sound.

Outwardly you look just the same,
to anyone who knows you by your name.
Your strength is such it hides a lie,
for the sun has gone from your sky.
You carry on with the daily tasks,
wearing a smile for a mask.

The very soul reaches out a hand,
searching out across the land.
Then you feel the shroud do lift,
for a breeze brought a sudden rift.
For the word is given to your ear,
relax, my friend, give me your fear.

Slowly the light began to shine,
as the gloom is left far behind.
For now you know, you weren't wrong,
only the others singing morose songs.
So lift your head to the new born sun,
for your life again, has begun to run.
