Composer's Dream

Quietly Standing
a harp with no hands
to warm her
strings in sullen waiting
Blind hope begging the night
searching for a song

Forgotten chords of a heart once played
replaced with cries of the lost wind
now feeding a sleepless turning
Thirsting for the drink of remembrance
this melancholy arch
still strung with a longing to be loved

Rise up and let our worlds collide
one of passion and the other of sorrow
A composer's dream giving birth
from the sun's earnest rising
to the white wonder of a full setting moon
Find us there interpreting a kiss
into the gift of music lasting

I'll be the air for your breath
pine tears that cleanse your spirit
Hear my weeping plea
Stretch out your fingers
touch them across my soul
Be the hands that give voice
to my song once more
... and play me

this is a very lovely piece.
love the line  "thirsting for a drink of remembrance"

May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat...

Harmony and cacophony
side by side
whispering through
the strings of our hearts
like ebony and ivory
yin and yang
up and down
merging into
one
opus
Can you tell I liked your poem, and found it to be inspiring?

Beautiful write.  This seems hauntingly familiar to me.  I loved it.  *s*

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
