Invisible Horizon

An invisible horizon in the middle of the night
Is a place to where the spirit in it’s emptiness takes flight
There’s another soul whose silent voice will over distance creep
In the black of night when neither one had settled into sleep

A name appears of someone that you know, but never met.
Whose words have been a portrait that you never will forget
You have read her poems and therefore know her victories and her plight
And she sends an instant message in the middle of the night

Some horizons lay between us, mountain ranges, flowing stream
But no barriers exist for us who met within a dream
It is in the realm of poetry that many found new light
And now we are together in the middle of the night

Whatever kept my weary heart from drifting into sleep
Has been replaced by comfort and some thoughts that I will keep
Forever in my heart from one who touched me with delight
As we sat and talked together in the middle of the night

Beautiful Liz ... it seems there are no boundaries to this poetic realm and the hearts that are touched, wonderfully written.

Best wishes,
/Kit

And isn't that what this place is all about...touching, lifting, healing, thinking, being poets...

and this, a beautiful tribute!
