In The Shadows Of An October Moon

As Luna rides a full October moon
illuminating my ebony sky.
Evening falls, and
somehow calmness rises.
In the darkness of night
there is silence,
a gentle peace,
stillness everywhere.
I hear the voice of
my "true self" whisper.
On my knees before the moon
with my ear pressed
against the wall between
my heart, and my soul,
waiting, wishing, listening.
Suddenly my spirit rises
in the wake of a whisper
to truth and hope.
In this silence,
I hear my heart speak
of faith, love and forgiveness,
as I kneel in the shadows
of an October moon.

i hear a keyboard
played by a deaf man
i see a picture
painted by a blind man
i read words
written by a heart
which has neither eyes,
nor ears,
nor fingers,
yet feels.

beautifully done, as we've come to expect from you. more please!

Mysteria strikes again....

"with my ear pressed
against the wall between
my heart, and my soul,
waiting, wishing, listening."

and each day, I anxiously await for more of these lovely pictures and poems. Which came first, the pix, or the poem? Tehe...where do you get all your inspirations from? Don't tell, I'm quite happy to guess and to read.

you have such a graceful style about your writing.
this is no exception.

With brevity, you enhance each word with a little more clarity....

Sharon, I sank into the serenity of this well penned piece.
A poetic portrait of nature's many wonders.
A celestial work of lunar art.
How your talent amazes me with every single write.
Pen on artistic angel.
A true Picasso!
Love and peace Maggie ((~.~))

Mysteria~

Of course you knew
that I'd be drawn
To glow of moon
across the lawn

Nicely done~

NapalmsConstantlyConfused - What a lovely response and I am so glad you liked this one.

Balladeer - Ask me if you made my day!  Ask me, ask me

Anikay83 - Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Elizabeth - I shall take that as the highest compliment and I do thank you so much.  I love how "exquisite" rolls off my lips

Midnitesun - The sentiments in my heart were first this time - then the moon, then finding the graphic to tie it together.  However, I have to tell the trust 9 out of 10 times music or art inspires the words with me, and that is why they are so varied I guess, thank you.

Kit - The moon was full and so was my heart, so I am glad it meshed into something everyone enjoyed, thank you.

Andy - You sat in this very chair and saw the same moon so you know it is so close you can almost touch it, and I am glad the "wake of the whisper" awoke your heart some

A Whisper's Caress - Thank you, so you mean my tomboy image isn't showing?

Sunshine - Thank you for "getting" this one, you always seem to dance through my heart.

Flutterwings - Your comments are poems in themselves, and I do thank you for reading this one.

Marge - I could swear I saw your face in that moon.  Glad you were drawn hon.

Sunshinemist - I am glad you enjoyed.

Gentle Spirit - I am glad to be able to share my soul with you, and thank you.

And, this is why I look forward to seeing your name on the blue pages!

This is absolutely wonderful!  And that picture is gorgeous - can I keep it?

You impress as always, Sharon!  Well done.

Into my library this goes~

Take care,
