A river keeps her company
as she walks the street
with eyes handing tears
to the shadow- swept breeze
                    and water.

Mist drags behind
like a bridal train
sequined with glints of light.

She would like to marry
the current
washing permanence

from her  days,
and leave memory standing
on the boulevard,

her place marked
by two cobblestones
matching the size
of a woman’s tiny foot.

this is piece of poetic sight. .

a moment frozen in time. . . well done. . .

Ahh my feet would take two each! Very wonderful verse! So gently woven into the feel of leaving. Strong and gentle decision.

Sincerely,
Regina

This is one of the prettiest pieces of poetry I have read at this forum.
You have a great talent.
I am glad you shared it.
I would like to print it out if that is okay with you.
