Foundation of love
built so strong
why crumble at the edge
Was I not good enough
or worth my wordly pledge

Tried to do the best I could
Tried to help her achy heart
All I recieved in return
was cupids arrow replaced with dart

Now a thinking man I am
and think long into these nights
I cannot answer all these questions
to vanquish all your fright

When all I need is a little love
a thank you for what I have done
Instead my armour is holed
from the bullets, from your gun

Yes sadness is from worthlessness
and a feeling I can do no right
Yet this man stands for you
and for you he will fight

So when you trash my love
and I am finally gone
shed a tear my darling
for I compare to none...

Richy
