~*Once Upon A Poet*~

Once upon a poem
Quilled in ink of time
There lived the soul of poet
Immortalized in rhyme

Spilled upon the pages
In brightest butterfly hue
An art admired by many
An artist known by few

Listen...you may hear it
The steady beat of heart
Feel the breath of spirit
Her presence to impart

Keep her in your knowing
Forget not of this day
Take with you in remember
What poet had to say

~vlraynes

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

Fascinating poem.  Makes me pause and reflect.  Even a little haunting.  Fine job.  Thanks,  Larry C

Ok...first of all, I must confess that, even
though I AM familiar with Stevie Nicks, it
honestly didn't even dawn on me that this was
a drawing of her.  It just worked for the poem. LOL
Anyway...for those of you who are interested,
the drawing was done by an artist from Belgium
by the name of Johanna Pieterman.

Larry-
Thanks so much...glad you enjoyed this.

Duncan-
   Apparently it is her..LOL

I really didn't know it was Stevie...oh well.

Marge-
   You just made my day!
That you would wish to have written something
from my pen is the ultimate compliment.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
