              *~Only a dream away~*

In stillness
of the piercing dark
alone in thoughts
of you I am
in wonderment
I gaze beyond
the cracklings
of a calming fire
and listen to
the echo sounds
that roam around
in a cloak of fog
it comes to me
in times like this
when my soul
is weakened
and my heart
cannot speak
struggling to find
a reason
to laugh or simply
just to smile
and make logic
of this destiny
while quivering
on bended knee
as emptiness
bounces around
inside the conscious
of my mind
there are no words
that I can find
nor answers to
a reason why
just emptiness
imprisoned inside
my bleeding heart
each passing night
perhaps the answers
can be found
amid the stars
of sapphire skies
as I carefully
erase all trace
abandoning tears
I've cried today
and drift off into
dreams afar
wishing upon
the brightest star
that seems to be
within my reach
appearing there
in front of me
That you and I
will find a way
to be together
forever and a day....

A heart that shares is a huge heart indeed.  Your poem speaks of all the emotions Coco, and so well.  As I am feeling a lot of these right now, I understood and "felt" your poem to the core of me.  Extremely well done.  I do see so gentle stillness in your words though.
