Miao Shan
you who have heard
the sounds of
a world in need
hear my call

you who gave up all
and looked upon us
with kindness and mercy
look upon me with
your compassion

Mother of Mercy
you who even
entered the
Land of the Dead
and sang for those
souls lost there
guiding them to yourself,
guide my lost soul to you
and grant me forgiveness

Divine Saviouress
you who remain the earth
and gentle feminine power
spread wide your arms
of love and compassion
and hold us all
in your light

Art: Kuan Yin by Lynn Siprelle

Note: Kuan Yin is the Buddhist goddess of compassion and mercy.  Thanks to Isis for help in the research.  For more about Kuan Yin, please go here: Kuan Yin

This is beautifully tender, and as thoughtful as the goddess herself...

well done, Sir...

Interesting Sven...made me think of an important leader in Singapore named Lee Kuan Yew who was responsible for the rapid economic boom in Singapore.  Also an interesting figure...James
