Love, At Last!

All my life
I dreamed of the day
I'd find that perfect caress...
awakening within
a kiss of rapture and tenderness -
discovering a kindred heart to undress
to the very essence of real
and, then, I found you...
a soul that is true,
a love worth waiting for

In moments of simplicity,
how can it be? -
that I see love staring back at me,
and, there you are
standing beside me,
patiently and tenderly
for all of earthly eternity
as your eyes dine upon my face
and it sets me free...
falling into you, saved by grace

By Melissa P. Monette

Dedicated to Tara and David

Congratulations!

"discovering a kindred heart to undress
to the very essence of real"

Beautiful phrasing Melissa! This unfolds with such romantic grace ... lovely indeed!

Melissa, very sweet and tender as only you could pen such romantic thoughts.  Perhaps you could email me sometime and let me know how to ad a gif such as you did.  Thanks.

Melissa this is wonderful. Love does come to some. May I also dedicate this, to two other members of passions, Deb1 and Hardrock (deb and Marv) who are now much too happy being in love to visit us on the forum. I have thought of writing a poem at the amazing true love they found, but you already did such a good one!

JEEZ, Melissa!!! Don't scare me like that!

I thought it was about you!! All my dreams shattered and fell to Life's stone-cold floor like so much confetti...it was horrible! But I know you'll be faithful to me until pigs can fly..

HEY! What was that?!?!?!?!

Melissa,

I know it took me forever to get here.. but I made it.  You have such a sweet heart chick-a-dee.   It's a beautiful poem.  And I love the last line...   "falling into you, saved by grace"  Just beatiful.

And OMG Balledeer.. I just about stopped breathing in a fit of hysterics when I saw that flying pig LMAO!!!!

I need a darn quote. *chuckles*
