The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-09-30 01:45 PM

It might have been forever
that I thought of him
with pain, and love and memories.
Ah, the memories
every one etched into a corner of my heart
lying amidst the broken pieces
almost as though
they were the holding glue.

It might have been forever
that I loved him lone
and yet, through sands of time
and heartfelt dreams
perhaps a few more memories
can be made
to hold me together later
when I am alone again.

And in that quest for love
which provides only memories
there may come a time
when the memories become overshadowed
by the present
because it will be better
and he will still be here
with me.

Here's hoping the present does overshadow the memories for you my friend
