the writer
virginia salter

she picks up letters
same alphabet I use
handles them, playfully,
tosses them in air
bounces them off thoughts
catching them on quill feathers
then gently
weaves her magic
as words filled with energy
love
caresses
flow onto papyrus
weeping
laughing
shouting
singing

how does she do it
sifting the very same letters
available to all

"she" is a poet ...  written words are her voice....

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?  We all do it to an extent though.  Sit in front of a screen and make something appear out of nothing.  Still amazes me at times though!  Nice thoughts.

I think you've done it quite well yourself.

Vicky~ Good question!  ...and I have no idea    it still surprises me every time I complete a poem....I often wonder where it came from.

Nicely penned It's worth pondering...

Thanks all for reading and your comments. I think as writers, we all feel this sometimes that the 'other' writers just somehow manipulate those same letters in profound and amazing ways.
Guess I've been away quite awhile, as this board goes, been missing a lot and I have a new name, but really I'm still Virginia. I think I've not been putting my real name on my poems lately, so I'll go back to doing so.
