Candlelight
Enhanced the Grey kisses
That touched the walls
Along the halls of my sadness

They were abstract
In the silvery wisdom
Of your patience

The strands of hair
Slipping down into my eyes
You swept away to behold my tears
I pearled up for so long

The sapphire heaviness gone
In your hands so strong
You were unafraid
Of my gleaming heartache

I slid beneath the bubbles
Imagining a different world
Washing my pain into opals
Disappearing down the drain

There you sat with me
In your golden dreamscape
Just as you are

The strength of your heart
Crushing coals into diamonds
While I fell apart into dust
You trusted me to arise

So tonight...
I have removed the cloak
Of my daggered heart
And glass to glass
We will smooth
As the dunes
Move with the winds of change
Burying Myself in you.

Dear Regina, I believe that your poetry is getting better and better all the time, I really enjoyed the read, I felt the heavy pounding of your heart in grief and the need of hope that was reaching out for love and assurance.

Great job.

Sincerely
Rick

So beautiful, Regina, and he must be quite a man, to be able to bring these words from you.

Sea: Thank you Sea! He always brings out the soft side in me.

Dee: Thank you for reading and enjoying.

Alan: I'm glad you stopped in. I appreciate your reply!

Marge: I am but shifting sand without him.

James: Yes...He is..And sometimes I am!   Thanks for reading

Rick: Thanks for helping me improve my skill with you encouragement. You don't know how much it means to me.

RSEvans: I'm glad it caught you. Thank you!

SmartChick: I like your name! Thank you so much!

Catalinamoon: I do have a treasure. He is so much more than I could ever have imagined in this life. Thank you Sandra. Glad to see you here.

Seymour: Awww Sy! You made my day. Very beautiful reply.

Lone Wolf: Thank you so very much. But not without my other half, or you all to inspire me.

I didn't realize this until after I wrote this poem...but it does have many attributes to a good relationship. I can recognize Trust, endurance, shared strength and wisdom, patience, acceptance, compassion, courage, reverence, respect, renewal, faith, surrendering, change. I'm so lucky to be able to recognize these things in my life. I've been on the other side...and I won't take this for granted. God Bless you all for being here for me to share with.

Sincerely,
Regina

The images in this poem are beyond outstanding, Regina...beautifully told story of a love that sounds incredible!  I love this!  Fantastic write!!

tried to write a letter
to tell you how I feel,
but all I kept on writing
was slipping on the tears from the day...
