All shades of sunlight glisten as we glide
'gainst purest blue of infinite bright skys .
Chill Autumn breeze caressed are leaves and branch
by shifting  waves of color now entranced ,

to soar , but for this timeless moment here ,
let cares receed until the path shines clear.
Now , bouyed by currents swirling leaves have found
fall up into the air , above the ground .

Slow waltz within this bright hued floating cloud
few moments such as these are we allowed
so scarce indeed are lifes' such interludes
that even now the music changes mood .

All bow to wind our partner in this dance ,
for soon snow laden clouds start their advance .

Very nice imagery.

I enjoy those scarce moments.

I just love the word-play here~

'bouyed by currents swirling leaves have found
fall up into the air'

VERY nice~

Midnitesun ,
Thank you , of all of the seasons fall is my favorite . Perhaps because of the crisp air ,
and the promise of a cleansing winter/spring.
Doc

Sinister Handed ,
Thanks . This poem changed perspective somewhere along its' writing , at first I wrote it as I would see it , then changed to how it would be seen as a falling leaf. I'd hoped I be able to carry this off . Judging
from the replies , it may have worked .
Doc

Smitten Kitten ,
Thanks . Three years of writing and the fascination has not dimmed in the slightest.
I only wish I had started sooner .
Doc

Marge ,
Your words are high praise indeed . Sonnets
are like water , in that they flow so naturally , with so little effort , that it's as if they write themselves .
Doc

Titia ,
Thank you dear class-mate . Me too . A chance to wrap things up , stow them away , and make ready for the coming new year .

Doc

Munda ,
Thanks . Dances with words . I'll save one for you anytime .

Hey there Doc!  Once again, you have offered an excellent read.  Enjoyed the image and the flow... so back to the top you go. May the winds whisper passion's response and keep this autumn leaf above so much fallen snow (if you get my drift).  Peace to you good Moose.

Drew ,
Ol' buddy , how the heck are ya ? Thanks for the R&R . Seems as though there was some question as to your whereabouts . I penned a possible answer to that but haven't had time to post it yet . I'll tack it on to your " Memorex " , with your permission of course .
Doc

Charisma ,
Thank you . Without question , Fall is my favorite time of year . I think that makes it easier to capture some of its' images with words .
Doc

Enchantress ,
Thanks , and by all means , dance away ! It's much easier than dancing in waist deep snow .
Doc

Lady Of Shallot ,
Thank you for your kind comments .
