Sweaty palms
Even with three showers
Meet her dad

Sitting there
In the cars back seat
Mother drives

Movie was bad
Arm on her seat back
Her nearness

At her door
You shake hands and smile
Date me again?

Back at school
Waiting for your bus
You see her

Being shy
You just grin at her
She knows

You know what, I can see this happening, though I was on the other side. Good job on this, very aptly described.

paladin--was that your mother or my mother?  This sounds so familiar.     Much enjoyed!

Oh does this bring back memories!!!  I could talk about the 50's and dating back then and the music for hours....but don't get me started.  I well remember dates like this one!
Gee, think I almost gave my age away...lol.
Enjoyed!
