Soft velvet
Darkness on the land
Nights caress

Starlight shines
A carpet of gems
Sky treasures

Night time fears
Go bump in the night
robbing sleep

Dreams flow by
Pictures in the mind
Saying much

Rest in sleep
Restoring your body
Till the morn

Thank you for all your wonderfull comments. It is my desire in these themes to present a sketch book of images and thoughts.Think if these as possible seeds for longer poems.

wonderful!   I love the night..although I don't recall sleeeping so much at night because of my writing! LOL!

Planting seeds for Halloween, are we?
Things that go bump in the night are things I lock up the closet with the witch's broom.
I smell an interesting cauldron brewing here.
