OK, all you worriers responded to Kit McCallum's wonderful poem about how you were worriers, too,  but let's be more specific!! What worries you?? Let it out! Inquiring minds want to know!!!!

Dear Kit, I'm very sorry I haven't been around
A little wrestle with the flu has had me on the ground...
Now here I see an offer which could only come from you
But I've no worries to pass on - 'cept maybe one or two.....

I'm worried that I'm seeing too much hair upon my shoulder
And lines show on my face as though my skin were getting older..
I'm worried that my belly will droop down below my waist
I'm worried because prunes have taken on a pleasing taste!!

I'm worried that one day all gravity might disappear
And everyone will find themselves just floating in the air.
I'm worried there's a meteor that's hurtling through space
That's gonna smack us someday and wipe out the human race.!

I'm worried that my neighbor's dog will come down with the rabies
And Mother Nature will decide that men start having babies...
I'm worried that one day I'm gonna wind up destitute
'Cause one day women will decide that bugs are really cute!!!

I'm worried that one day I will be balder than an eagle
And governments will pass a law decaring Spam illegal!!
I'm worried as I look for one to spend my whole life through
That I am never gonna find someone as sweet as you...

I worry about who's holding you
and why it isn't me
I'm worried that my Balladeer
doesn't love his SEA

well frankly, michael, here's the thing
that worries me the most.
I worry since i have no worries
(geez, don't mean to boast!)

i'm sorta like a female virgin of
Alfred E. Newman,
my life's so sweet, it's like a bud
that's in a vase just bloomin'!

i never worry that the pedals
will fall off the stem,
or that i'll get pricked by a thorn!
my life has none of them

in fact, there's not a single worry
that i can submit....
because, my 'deer, i read that pome
and gave them all to Kit!

she said that she could handle all
of each and every worry!
and so i hired her, you know,
and did it in a hurry!

and let me tell you, bugman,
that ol' girl has got some power!
she took all worries clean away!
my life is now a flower!

(geez nan, you stole my afreda e. newman mad magazine line before i had a chance to post it!! arghhhh... oh well, you know what they say, whoever they are.... gmta... what me worry?... hehe)

I worry cause my spell check’s on the blink
That mean’s I really have to think
And spelling isn’t my forte
I hit the wrong keys anyway
The day I am reincarnated
I hope I’ll be more edjikated

(I am kinda sexy, though)

Oké I read your story and I saw you're worried too
Spamless life how awful that thought must be for you
But when you keep up eating your belly will descent
To the level of your knees and you will wonder where it went

But that is not the answer to your question up above
So I'll explain my worries to you my sweet Deery love
I'm worried that one day all words will disappear
And that is for us poets a really dreadful fear

I'm worried about my smoke alarm for when I'm roasting meat
It thinks I will burn down the place and always go Piiiieeeet
I'm worried that when getting old I've still not met you all
And that when you are getting old say Titia? I don't recall

Thanks Balladeer for listening to my worries

Titia

Balladeer,
If you worry you'll get worry warts
Now isn't that a lovely thought. Stay well

Pass those cares of life away
For dear sweet Kit will save the day
She's taken all the others woes
Send these to her, just watch them go
But one that should be banned by man
Would be that so called "food" called Spam
Please Deer, don't say you like its taste
No food for man, it's just a waste!!!!

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

I worry that my daughter
Will spring up in the night
That her little heart will tremble
At some unknown fright.

That Mommy won't have patience
Too weary to arise.
Nothing there but darkness
And two frightened little eyes.

No one ever listened themselves into trouble.

SEA...
If that's your only worry then you needn't fret at all..
Of all the gals I know you are the greatest of them all.
Each time I hear sweet whispers asking where I'd like to be
I always smile and say I wish that I were on the SEA

Nan..
Of course you're not a worrier
That habit's been destroyed.
You don't have time for that -
You're busy being paranoid!!!

Melissa...

You're so doggone sweet I'd like to hold you in my arms
And let myself be overwhelmed by all your many charms...
You should NEVER worry 'cause you're such a raving beauty
And the only gal alive who ever called me "cutie patootie"!!

Doreen..
Of COURSE you never worry!
You just sail on with the flow
And spread calm and complacency
Wherever you may go

Creator of serenity and peace
In all you meet,
I am amazed how you can face
Each day and be so sweet.

It's just coincidence you smoke
Four packs of cigarettes
And, oh, I meant to ask you...
Did you buy your gas mask yet?!

Liz Santos

Your spell check isn't working?
That's too bad but what the hell!
Your words still come out beautiful
No matter how you spell!

As far as "kinda" sexy
I would say that's understated.
I still get smiles of pleasure
From the impression you created!

Titia...

If that's your biggest fear then it is very misbegotten
For I can tell you surely you will NEVER be forgotten!
Should fate decree we meet or not, you found your way inside
The heart of this old Balladeer and there you will reside...

Sy..

If I get warts...who cares?
I'll tell you what I'm gonna do..
Drive three blocks down to your house
And say, "Hi, there, Sy! Wart's new???

Tracey..

I've always liked your style. You seemed the perfect girl for me.
I hoped the day would come for us to explore ecstacy
But I see now it wouldn't work for I am what I am...
And if a woman loves me she must also love my Spam!!!

Lonely Stranger..

I got nothing cutsie to say about that one. When a man's worries are for his child, I simply tip my hat and applaud...

no, michael...

i haven't bought a gas mask
and i don't expect i will --
to do so would mean worrying
about the scents that fill
my bedroom up with gas
and such an awful sense of snore,
(the remedy i've sought is nought
in spite of heart's implore)

to ask if i have bought a mask?
oh michael, no defense!
I will not cover up my face
to pacify the stench
of worrying! i'll not partake
in useless time that's spent.
i'd rather lie beside myself
and love me while i vent!

there's Love which should surround the sound
of worriers who grieve
as Life the way they knew it
has been absent on a leave
and as the tide has pulled us out,
our islands still are Free,
the Love of Life surrounding
as our souls blend with the sea.....

no, gas masks aren't a purchase
which i plan to ever make --
to do so would admit that Life
is feared, a grave mistake
instead, i'd rather walk on through
leave worries out the Dor
and dream the dream of dreams
which seam our spirits in once more......

You sweetie, LOL ... now you KNOW I loved this!

*~*

Dear Michael, there's so many of my worries I could write,
I'll try to keep it brief, or I'll be writing here all night!
Perhaps I'm best to just address the worries that you wrote,
In hopes that I can lighten up the fears that you denote.

I'm worried that your shoulders will give way under that hair,
And fret at how your skin could age … you're far too young my 'Deer;
I'm worried that you're worried 'bout your belly droopiness …
(But prunes will keep you running … you'll be fitter than the rest!)

I'm worried how if gravity did swiftly disappear,
You'd float away and I'd be somehow stranded way down here,
I'm worried if a meteor came crashing from above,
That I would not have time to say goodbye to those I love.

I'm worried that a rabid dog might live next door to you,
And if you had a baby … all the pain that you'd go through;
I'm worried that if bugs were cute and you were destitute,
How would you pay your on-line bill, how would you then compute?

I'm worried that if you were bald, your head would burn while golfing,
But outlaw Spam? I'd agonize … at what you'd buy while shopping!
I'm worried that you'll never know how much you make me smile,
So here's a hug to warm your heart, at least a little while.

Best wishes and hugs
/Kit

WOW! Kit, it is a miracle! My worries are all gone!
You listened to my worried thoughts and took each one head on!
But even though you did your best there's one thing you can't do...
There's no way you can send someone as wonderful as you
But, even though I'm devastated, it is not the end
'Cause I am blessed by God above that I can call you FRIEND!!

Mt dear sweet Mike is in a plane
Way up high in God's great sky...
I worry because I know if we were meant to fly
God would have given us wings instead of feet...
OK..I know he can't walk to St. Louis from Maryland...but I want him home!!
20 minutes and counting till he is landing..
(lifitng up prayers for him right now)
And on a lighter note..hello all..

Late as usual, sorry...

Well I worry about the people
With a smile turned upside down,
And I worry about the homeless
Living on the streets downtown.
And about children that are yelled at
Looking like they feel so small,
There’s nowhere for them to turn to,
No, there’s nowhere for them at all.
I worry about our school system,
Where there is now no prayer,
How in times of trouble,
Will they learn he’s always there?
I worry about the helpless,
Suffering from some kind of abuse,
I see the look in their eyes,
It says, "What is the use?"
But I know others worry with me,
Even about the cans of Spam,
For in this world there are many,
Who worry and give a damn.

What a thread! I would worry about our government, except I'm voting for Liz next time around.
As for the rest:
Spam is spam, and there should be a ban on spam!
And ladybugs ARE cute!
And bald eagles are incredibly handsome (and virile)...
And I stuffed all my worries into an empty beer bottle last night.

Deer, Sea, Titia, goodness where do I start?
All your replies have lightened my heart,
My worries are gone from reading your works,
All put together it'd make a great book,
You all posses talent I wish was my own,
Perhaps I could borrow a little on loan?
I know my own worries could never compare,
I worry of death and little of hair,
But reading your words make me smile,
I concentrate on happniess for a while,
Anothor gift you gave so unknowingly,
Lifting my pain, setting me free,
Thanks for the laughter it feels so good,
But then I guess you knew it would,
Once again I loved all your writes,
They'll keeping me smilin long into the night!

I'm glad that I could help 'Deer heart, and take your worries on …
I'm happy if a few have disappeared and now they're gone;
So if you have no worries left to pack and send my way …
Just ship yourself with postage due, right here to me today!

Stamp fragile on your forehead, fill your customs papers out,
And if they do detain you at the border … give a shout!
I'll watch for next day service, keep a vigil at my door,
And if you don't arrive, I'll grab my mailman and implore …

"Please check your bag again! I'm sure he should be here today ...
This package I've been waiting for, is surely on his way!"
True friends are very hard to find, I'm blessed I found you too,
My partner of the written rhyme … sweet poet, that is you.

Best wishes and a bunch more hugs,
/Kit

Okay...I'm an opportunist here. If spam ever gets banned...no fear Balladeer. We'll corner the blackmarket and have a SpamEasy? Bootleg spam LOL! As far as the rest....well..I worry that the tumble weeds behind my bathroom door (My hair falling out) will start growling at me. That my children will get swallowed up by them and the neighbors will report me for having  an undomestic creature rolling about without a leash.  I haven't seen my dog for days! LOL
No worries? I don't know why my hair is falling out!   Hugs!

I just had to join in
I hope you both don't mind
the little poem that I posted
with a little itty bitty rhyme.

This was such fun
so I'm sending hugs your way
to thank you and Kit
for brightening my weary day!!

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
