In the quietness
The sounds do come
In the quietness
I  hear them hum.

In the quietness
My world spins away
In the quietness
I hear sprits play.

In the quietness
I find my peace
In the quietness
I like the least.

In the quietness
I am afraid
In the quietness
My love is the most staid.

In the quietness
Before dark turns to dawn
In the quietness
I'm rewarded for being strong.

Sure is quiet when you're waiting... and waiting... and waiting... isn't it?

I'm glad Mike's home safely - and glad you took a few minutes to write while you were waiting so silently...

A lovely poem of inner peace and serenity found in quiet contemplation.
So nice to see your lovely smile and name here Lady L.
Say hello to that Pirate for me
take care

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy

Sometimes being alone, you hear sounds that aren't really there. And when your honey is beside you, there is no sound but his breathing...it's nice to read you again!

It's easy being strong for someone else....a bit tougher being strong just for yourself. You express it well, poor unfortunate lady married to such a cad....
