I watched the geese
As in low loud honking vee’s
They traveled across a sky
Unmarked by vapor trails
Vacant, but for the geese
And a few stray mares tails

Normalcy in an abnormal way
They heeded the call to migrate and move
Oblivious to the struggles man creates

I thought about these times
The terrors viewed by millions as they unfolded
Imbedded now forever in psyche and soul
And knew that the geese would continue to fly
We would continue to try and make sense
Out of all we had seen
All we had felt

And that the seasons would change
Babies would be born
People would fall in love
Couples would break up
All would go on

Still
My heart bled a few tears
And I fought a few fears

As the geese in low loud honking Vee’s
Marked movement of time

perhaps it is just me, but the symbolism of your V means much....

and we shall write, and continue to pen, until normalcy comes to visit again....

it goes on...somehow that's both threatening and reassuring to me at the same time...but this was a wonderful respite for me this morning...You got a cabin for rent somewhere?
and? Poetry like this cures migraines.

Such wonderful imagery, this is a truly beutiful poem, if we look at a V, and consider it the hands of a clock, the time would be about 10 minuits past 10 . Wow, whenever I see geese flying in a V I shall think of time ever moving on .
Thanks, lovely read .

And ... though I've yet to 'make sense' of it~
I yearn to see the geese fly~

This is a touchy-feely write to me~
Thanks for sharing~

Capt--and I have heard the seagulls cry into the oceans roar, the tide come in and out, and time in my mind and heart begins to move on.  Thank you for this healing write!

It's almost scary how the world keeps moving, when it feels as if it really should stop. This is an excellent way to remember those tragic events.

this time of year I seem to be drawn to the  geese when they are passing over, searching for a pond nearby to land. They are  a unique species..I enjoyed your words, as  always *s

Ever pointing onward. A very difficult task sometimes. That's why it's important for someone else to take the lead...while we breath and cry. If only the destination were the same for us all. Peace. A wonderful reminding vision C. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Regina
