Mysteria

Wind chimes made of weathered shells
Formed in the depths of sea
Carved by currents, worn by waves
Now play a tune for me

Singing in the evening breeze
A melody unknown
That freely floats to distances
Wherever winds have blown

Mysteria, mysterious,
A chiming in the wind
A song unwritten echoes out
And touches me within

The more severe the storms of life
The more she plays along
The heavier the winds that blow
The lovelier her song

For she is one who’s well of life
Was deeply hollowed out
And from these depths of spirit
Splendid words come pouring out

Whatever comes, whatever goes
The windchimes never cease
And in the glory of her tunes
I find an inner peace

She is grace, in light's rainbow
a crystalline song of peace
she comes from other lands abroad
and gently gives us ease...

you've painted her well, Lady Santos...we're blessed to have her....

I don't quite have the words to respond on here to this poem right now, but will email you.  However, I wanted those that read this wonderful poem to know "my weapon" as you stated...
"The more severe the storms of life
          The more she plays along
The heavier the winds that blow
          The lovelier her song"
and I hope others might try that, just fight "life" with "life", and when it gets to you, do something for another's soul, and it will heal yours!  Elizabeth - I can't tell you enough what this means to me, but I am sure a very long email is forthcoming.

Liz, you are quite a gem yourself. This dedication was written with a pen dipped in admiration and honesty... You had a super great subject. Friendship is a gift from above and you've done it proud.

You know, friendship is a wonderful thing, and this circle of people truly are amazing, and I think the lot of you are pretty darn special too.  Liz, this will be framed and put beside this desk as a reminder of that old saying, "what goes around, comes around".  I am not sure it is proper to thank those that responded to your poem, but in this instance I want to give you all a great big group hug.

Wow, this is truly a beautiful piece of work.
Sounds as though Mysteria is as well.
I've returned to PIP, only to find the poets here are better than ever.

Again, a lovely tribute Elizabeth.

Such beautifully spoken words in a tribute to a beautiful soul who has touched the hearts and lives of so many...mine certainly is included in that statement.  Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us, and thank you for captivating so eloquently the gentle, loving, and embracing spirit of our beloved Mysteria!

Hugs, dawn

This is absolutely lovely, Liz ... splendid in meter and rhyme as always. Your wonderful phrasing and sentiments have captured the essence of a truly beautiful and warm friend, who is most deserving of these tender words. You have done her justice in this tribute my friend, and beautifully.

Sharon, thank you for your inspiration and encouragement, both through your poems and e-mails on so many occassions ... your heart is a pure gem, and it is truly a pleasure to know you.

Best wishes and hugs to both of you wonderful ladies,

Dear poets,
your responses are more of a tribute than the poem, because all are expressing the exact same sentiments. This must be an extraordinary lady we're talking about,
and you know what? - I believe she is
Thank you all so much

Is it okay to post again, in case you go back and read these?  I want to hug you all to bits!  All of you!  And even those that didn't read this, because I love you guys too.  For without Passions as part of my life, where on earth would all my words go, and who would listen?  The circle of friendship here is strong, very strong, and I hope will always be that way forever.  Thank you Ron for this site, and the moderators who see it is run with such integrity.  Now that I run off on Liz's poem, I will go read your poetry
