On a Night Such as This

Below tropic skies on a night such as this
The Southern Cross blessed every passionate kiss
The night was our glorious blanket of love
That lit up the mountains and spaces above

So bright was each star in the black of the sky
The earth stood and watched as the heavens passed by
And I in a daze like an innocent child
As the stars witnessed love twinkling down as they smiled

So splendid the little stars’ beautiful light
The moon had no moment to capture the night

Elizabeth~

'So splendid the little stars’ beautiful light'

Surely our little stars did some powerful twinkling last night~

What a beautiful picture you painted, and I could also feel that balmy breeze kissing my cheek - I get right into it    Beautiful, just lovely.
