Disquiet the nights, when darkness consumes.
And as light falls, I walk towards the shadows of your hold
within each step, delighting in thoughts of thee.
In white lace flowing, nothing altered, I drift beyond,
suspend within, possessioned by the endless depths of you.
I wander in dreams, beneath a  comfort veil
crossing in time, breathing in the silence,
blending the moments, swept by your strength
to a place where fantasy beckons.
You hold in existence, the fragments of time.
For when I dream, it is You I absorb,
You I feed upon, You that shapes my night,
surrendering me to another dimension of the mind
where memory lies and souls are for the taking
and the distance of the night becomes nil.

"and the distance of the night becomes nil.."

This read beautifully aloud...and the fact that I had to whisper it only made it sexier!   There's a lovely little oasis in your mind, you know that? Thanks for sharing it!   Have missed you...but my time has been "hit and miss" again, we'll catch up soon!

Lovely little poem, so beutiful . Like serenity, I agree, your discription of the night is truly amazing . Such a well written, deep, meaningful poem .
Many thanks .

This one has a magical quality to it, and I like this especially:

I wander in dreams, beneath a comfort veil
crossing in time, breathing in the silence,
blending the moments, swept by your strength
to a place where fantasy beckons.

I want to go there!
