In the moments of grace
from the towers of glass
came the cries of help
and the ones that had past
For a chance to be saved
not by body alone
but the soul that within
before heavens door
A call to a man
in second he changed
from his franciscan robe
to a savior of pain
To the buildings of doom
he found death all around
and there on the floor
lay a one of his own
As he gave the last rights
he bowed his head
and was taken from here
dying doing gods work
When he opend his eyes
he saw the gates to his side
Saint Peter came to him
with a tear in his eye
"You have to go back
to find all the rest
to show them the way,
ease their ways"
And down in the dirt
he found one lonely soul
then another turned up
from fire house 11
The three becam four
then doubled again
soon dozens were found
in hells small kitchen
As they looked to the sky
Father Mike looked to then
saying know we must find
those that remain
So sleep well tonight
for your loved ones are safe
the rest in Gods arms
without any pain
And this I know
that he did not die in vain
Father Mike was there for them
to show them the way.

MichaelG~
A lovely tribute to a truly compassionate soul~
Father Mike gave in giving the ultimate of himself to the men under his care and to God in his unselfish serving ~
Thank you for this~
