I whisper in your ear,
to see how you'll reply.
Trace your lips with my finger,
and hear nothing but a sigh.
I sing a song to you,
and you don't make a sound.
I look to your eyes for comfort,
and they're nowhere to be found.
I poke and prod and plead,
yet you don't make a peep.
And still I'm here smiling,
knowing you hear me in your sleep.

This is sweet. But prodding people in their sleep??? Jeesh, can't a person get 40 winks anymore???!!!

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

SH~ Sometimes I just die and no amount of poking or prodding will do   But I hear you...my soul revels in every note you sing and every sigh you whisper.  This was beautiful, as always...touched my heart and filled it with joy!

Love you

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

Thank you all for your kind words.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some prodding to do.
