Excuse the Meter but it is just a Quick Poem

***

What we need is a little emotion
Mix in a dab of devotion
Found somewhere in the psyche ocean
A quick poem drowns and dies

At the starting line prepared
To make the other poems scared
No epic ballad will be spared
The quick poem wants the prize

The speed of sound relates
A thought to page escapes
And someone quickly rates
The worth of its disguise

Couldn't help but change it some

I like to stare and stare and stare at poetry until I reach its rock bottom (maybe why i have so few posts). And then I hold my breath and dive into the water that seeps at its rock bottom and swim and swim and swim...So now I've reached the depth of your poetry and think it is MOLTEN!  But I only realized it because I dared to drown myself in its beauty.  I understand every word in your poem...awesumlee
