God Let Me Be Blind

God let me be blinded like the weak
Let me be foolish when I speak
Have me not question a single thought
Believing all of which I've been taught
Give me no reason, no mind of my own
Give me my orders, make me a drone
With no questions why or who or when
I can then be at peace with myself within
So strip my opinions, from my head
Granting me blissfulness on my deathbed
For knowledge is power, indeed this is true
Though ample amounts shall't shine on you
For it is better to know nothing at all my friend
Than something of which you cannot comprehend
God let me be blind

Joe, a good rendition of all we have to lose, if we are so foolish as not to see...

well done, Sir!

This was a powerful write, and I feel the same way, knowledge is power if used correctly, otherwise better to know nothing and use it incorrectly.

hmmm...knowledge as power--not so sure if I agree--but then what do I know?   (I've got a weird sense of humor.   )

and indeed, not my will but thine...nice contemplative piece here, which touched on correspondences of Buddhism and Christianity.
A very interesting read, m'friend. Enjoyed.

A true surrender. To go in faith instead of thinking.... Very heartfelt. Thank you for sharing.

Sincerely,
Regina
