Seventy four~
That's the age you would be today,
but God had already decided
to take you to heaven to stay.
Although we are often sad
we know that  you're in a better place,
therefore you will not see a tear
a smile we shall wear upon our face.
Instead, we shall tenderly recall
the times we treasure so dear,
as we look to the heavens above
and celebrate your life this year.
Even though you are no longer here
we shall never really be apart
because we carry you closely
Dad, your always in our heart.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
~Me~

My father would have been 78.  I know what it is to miss a father.  Thank you for this.

Sunshine, you are so very welcome.  Any one who has lost a loved one misses them, but they are never really gone.  Thank YOU.

He was a man deserving of honor.  He raised three girls by himself.  I only hope I can do him proud.  Thank you Janet.  It is good to see you too.  Hugs.

I too know this loss. . .

well done. . . and from the heart. . .

Your father would be proud, I'm sure of it.  You have done him a great honour.  Beautifully expressed

Hugs,
~Krista

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too
