~* Just A Simple Email *~

Reflecting, I can almost see you
Sitting in my pain as you wrote your poem.
Out of sorrow’s vapor you appeared,
Sending sunshine in a simple email.

Your words in flawless rhyme,
Touched me in that hidden place
Where no one has ever been invited
To enter for a long time, my heart.

The gentle caress of your soul,
Upon my wounded heart,
Stirred a new feeling of hope
Stopping my flow of tears,
Gently unlocking memories
Imprisoned inside of me.

A poem released the love inside,
That experiences joy in life.
The delicacy of your words,
Changed my life,
Not of your knowing.

Your words shattered barriers of
Being alone and renewed faith
In trusting a friend.
Simple words picked me up when I was down.

Strong tentacles of loss, grief, confusion
Strangled me and you created
Words ... just simple words of healing.

A new realm for love began to flow
Like a crystal clear river
Through the valley of our souls
Washing away the debris of anger
Leaving behind a fresh, new landscape
For me to explore.

You created a place of hope,
In your acceptance of my feelings,
And a peace inside me that said -
It was okay to be me, to feel this way.

You said, “Sometimes you have to sit
On the bottom, before you can stand.
Feel it, but know this,
I will be here to listen."

~* With sincere gratitude to a poet at Passions;
you know who you are *~

This is beautiful Mysteria.
I am so glad to know you have a special friend who is there when needed.  Where would any of us be without that certain friend?  You didn't say what piece is playing, but it is lovely as well.  Nancy.

Sea ~ Thank you again, sweet lady of the ocean!  This person is a "friend" to a lot of people here at Passions.  They just care!

Enchantress ~ thank you and I have no idea what that music is - if anyone knows I sure wish they would tell me so I could share the name of it with everyone.

~* Dee, Martie, Trilium, Janet Marie, Smitten Kitten *

There are so many wonderful friends here at Passions that i am thankful for.  This one in particular, as she does this so naturally and never seeks any recognition for her kindness.  And Janet Marie...I forgot the "gentle messenger too" thank you for reminding me of that!  We are so lucky to be in a community of kind and wonderful souls that care about each other here, and for that I thank you all, as I was going through a bit of a time there for a bit, but am better now.  Thank you for your nice comments.

Sharon ~ this is such a deeply touching tribute to your friend.  You have endured many tribulations as of late, and all the while you so relentlessly give of yourself to others...reaching out to everyone around you so unselfishly to lend them your ear and your heart in their times of need...and in their times of loneliness and pain.  In doing this, you have woven special bonds of friendship with so many...and I am so happy that you were offered words of comfort that helped ease your heartache.
I promise to be there more dependably as well, as this transition in my life is nearing it's point of stablization.
Always know in your heart ~ beyond a shadow of a doubt ~ that you are loved so very dearly by this lady in Texas.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS TO YOU)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
...and much love,  always, dawn

Someone once said, you can't be a friend unless you are a friend to yourself...and you can't be a friend to yourself unless you know how to give.  You must have given your friend a lot, for her to be able to help you during your times...

This is beautiful, and I am sure, will be read many, many times, by many, many poets, who will all think "this is for me...."

it is simply beautiful...

What a lovely tribute to someone very special. It's nice to have someone that can 'touch us' in that way. But then you're so nice, who would not want to be your friend?

How fortunate you are, to have a true friend, when all of the world seems to be falling apart.  It is people like you who keep everything together...

Marge ~ The circle of Passion is truly a never-ending circle indeed.

Dawn ~ A lot of people have endured a lot lately, and I guess I just had to "vent", and this person listened, as I am sure a lot of people are turning to friends now in this time for comfort and a means of picking up their lives.  This poem is about those people.

Richard ~ You are also that "kind of person"   we all are!

Poet deVine ~ Thank you, and this "person" represents the kindness in us all, especially in Passions, for they only represent the spirit of this site.

Mysteria,

I know this friend must be special and special friends that can bring joy to us when we have none of our own are rare.

You are special too....to be able to put into verse your feelings in words so clear and heart felt.

This is so beautifully written, I had to go back and read it several times. I have also had that experience, not a poem written for me, but a poem that touched me as though it were. THis is wonderful writing!
Keep up the excellence in poetry

Elizabeth ~ I know exactly what you mean.  Sometimes we search these blue pages, and something jumps out at you like the author knew exactly what you were thinking.  This, of course, shows the power of poetry, but also there is such a circle of friendship in this community of sincerely, caring and wonderful people.  How lucky we are!  Thank you for your very kind words, from the Lady Santos, I shall take your compliment and cherish it, truly.
