Lord Lord ,why do you stand outside my gate Why do you knock,watch and wait ? Knock on heart Lord , but not today Lord , leave me be, please go away! Lord , why this unceasing care Is my wicked soul so rare? Lord , my life is just for me I am deaf to Angels and to thee Lord , why do you waste your time ? I am Satan's child, not thine! This is well written .... thought provoking and I hope ..... more self condemning than a rejection of Christ ??? No one ever listened themselves into trouble. |

I can see how that Christmas card prompted this poem. You ornery fella you, greeting the Lord like that!!! This is really really cute. (At least that's what I read into it) If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

You are loved by Him like we all are. He never stops knocking so you might as well open the door. Do not be so hard on yourself, Arthur....He knows your heart and I am sure it is not as dark as you see yourself. We tend to see only the worst in ourselves but He, knowing our hearts, keeps knocking because He knows some day you will let Him in. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

arthur - Very moving. I believe though that the Lord is not "watching you" but rather, "watching over you." Hopefully, watching over all of us. Well done. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |
