Walk with Me

Hillside’s golden ragweed graces
long-ago semblance of wheeling traces
footsteps that sought sanctuary
in land, air, the meaning of free

alone I can traverse the times
finding again that all is mine
but only for a moment, brief
still, this knowing brings relief

for you’ve guided me through all things
this blessed content is what you bring
how you’ve enhanced all of my days
when I look to you to find my way

so on hillside I walk, along with you
amid the gold of fall, in love anew
knowing all seasons shall meet our gaze
as we travel through life’s amaze….
