maiden of Spring
as the last of Winter’s
breezes blow cold
the larks announce your return

on this day of Maslenica
we celebrate your return
from the darkness of vrij
and rejoice in the gifts
of your beauty

Goddess of love
may the songs of your larks
fill our hearts with joy
and may the warmth
of your Spring
bring life to our souls

Lada is the Slavic Goddess of Beauty and Love who returns every Vernal Equinox (Maslenica) from the Underworld (vrij) bringing the Spring and the Larks with her.

Well. I'm learning a lot in this series.   I enjoyed this one, Sven Pen.
