“having two branches or peaks; forked”

Twisted tree,
Broke bifurcate by the wind,
Harsh summer,
Harsh winter,
Into rocks roots it must send,
It is there
Survivor
Sentry on the mountain trail,
There is stays
Pointing ways,
To where we might pass or fail,
Forking tree,
A choice to make as we flee.

And may you never speak with forked tongue.
The forked road...ah, isn't it Wordsworth?...or for what the the word's worth, let your Heart choose the correct road.
