The beauty of watching a cat.
She slinks along the ground.
Slow, cautious, sleek.

She tenses with feral instinct,
her back arched and poised,
the fine hairs of her body on end.

I catch the dim reflection of light in her eyes.
Nervous beads of sweat form on my forehead,
my heart flutters before she pounces.

For I am her prey.

You put my innocent "SmittenKitten" name to shame!

I love you my prey...there's no getting away!

...you know how much I love this

A most agile write. Very well described! Enjoyed the pounce!

Sincerely,
Regina
