Between a laugh and a tear...

This piece is not intended to comment on, or judge, anyone's opinion or feelings. Nor is the intend to instigate a debate of any kind; it is merely a reflection of some feelings that I needed to express.

Liberty's Lance

Beware the demons
The wildcats from hell
There coming now
To where you dwell

Around the globe
Mankind unites
To terrors door
They'll bring the fight

The cries go out
Loose liberty's lance!
While the world it waits
Stuck in trance

To the evil ones
Evil shall unleash
But what of those
In search of peace

Do we sell our souls
For retribution
To those unsure
It rains confusion

The book it says
Reap what ye sow
But faced with this
Who's to know!

So I know just what I am." ~ Van Morrison

You've tackled an angle that is on many minds EagleOne ... it is always good to ponder poetically, from every vantage. Much enjoyed.

Best wishes,

You've put your feelings into words very well. I agree with them myself, I see it from the same perspective. Great write

Marge ~ Yes, I agree Marge, certainly the case with me. I thank you for encouraging, accepting, and welcoming those thoughts with open arms. In these times there is much to ponder, take care my friend!

Poet deVine ~ I think we should always express our feelings, and yes there is much to see in this story and I think we should look at it.

Kit ~ I seem to ponder many things of late Kit. I appreciate your thoughts my friend, thank you.

Tracey ~ Thank you, these are confusing and trying times, I just wish I had the answer.
