Seasons turn to greet me with warm embrace
Autumn’s gentle breeze, light upon my face
A kiss of crispness to blush my cheeks pink
world offers golden hue, for thoughtful think

leaves fall in rhythmic dance of life renew
swirling flights of fancy, for joyous view
swept up in the magic, of nature’s song
I smile, skip and softly hum along

I have been waiting, for this time of year
I hold it in my soul, with great revere
In every day, I find such happiness
In awe of the land’s metamorphosis

It brings such bliss, that I cannot contain
To watch my sky cloud over, sharing rain

Susan~

You've mastered the sonnet form exceptionally well!  And Autumn and Spring are my favourite times of the year - so, of course I love this!  What a gorgeous view of Autumn you paint    You really should enter this in a contest~

Sea...You know I love everything you write, but, with autumn upon us this just gently tugged at me to get outside and enjoy.  Thank you. Nancy.

Chrysalis..I had to look that one up SEA...it has been a few years since Biology class and I don't think I have had a chance to use it since *S*  It fits perfectly with this lovely poem....you do know how to stretch a poor old Texas boys mind...

Ah Sea, how beautiful was this?  I had to print it out and sit and read it aloud to fully appreciate it, in all its glory.  You sure know how to Sea a Sonnet!
