~*~  If I Were The Brightest Wishing Star  ~*~

~*~

Dawn, my friend, if I were the sun,
I'd kiss you with warmth each day.
And, if I could be evening’s moon
I'd shine bright, to light your way.

~*~

My friend, and if I were the wind,
I'd gently caress you, with my touch.
And if I were just one beautiful flower,
I'd be the one that you love so much.

~*~

My friend, if I were the ocean vast,
In tides, I’d drown away your blues.
If I were the brightest wishing star,
I'd ensure all your dreams came true.

~*~

My friend, if I had one simple wish
Well, then this is what it would be,
That you and I would be best friends,
Joined at the heart for all eternity.

~*~

For Dawn, Courtney and Casey  ~*~
~ Sending love to you all ~

Congratulations on new home may it be filled with love,
and here's to a wonderful new beginning for all three of you!

Dawn ~* "He" works in strange ways as you came into my life when I lost my best friend, and then you were there for me when I found out last week I lost two more friends, and will be my strength now as I found out I lost yet two more to the terrorist attack this weekend.  I thank you for being there for me too.

Sea ~* Oh I am glad I am a favorite anything!  Your Mom's plate must be beautiful.

Melissa ~* Glad you liked it, and take the picture if you wish - it is from a card I had.

Marge ~* Yes they truly are treasures of the heart.

Smitten Kitten ~* Thank you for your kind compliment, but I think friendship is a two-way street, and you get back what you give 100 fold, thanks again.

Richard ~* Thanks for your good wishes to us.

Rex ~* Hi fellow Canuk!  I am glad you enjoyed this one, she is a very special person.

Andy, you cutie patootie, I am the lucky one, such a wonderful pair you two are to know, and you brighten every day for me.  Just think, soon the "Brady Bunch", hah!  Thanks for popping in from Australia to read this.

What a wonderful declaration of friendship..
how sweet and sincere!!
Wonderful gift of heart here Sharon...
the replies are as much of a treat as the beautiful poem of imagery and kind intentions.

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy

Janet Marie ~* I don't take the "job" of being a friend lightly, and when I tell someone I am their friend, it is through thick and thin I guess, so I thank you for your comments.

Decaflame ~* Yes, friends come in strange ways, I have another who is right up there in the "best friends" category too

Trillium ~* Thank you, I am not sure I can stand much more bad news.  What a terrible, terrible disaster.  However, life will go on, and I can see already that Americans are standing together and stronger than ever, so these wonderful folks did not die in vain, for they will be the guiding light to unity and strength.  Sorry, rambling, but a worthy subject.
