The Comfort of an Embrace

Take my lonely hands into yours
And as our touch unite, watch the butterfly pass by
Hold my pain for a few minutes, till my tears run dry
And as I feel better, watch the bufferfly touch the flower

My knees ache from the pleading, pick me up into your arms
And as we stand together, watch the rainbow emerge
Hold my beaten heart close to yours, let reality converge
And as I can stand alone again, watch the rainbow touch the butterfly

The comfort of an embrace raises hopes dashed in solitude's mire
Knowing the warmth exists from a soul as genuine as you are
Reinforces that life's light so dim can be brightened again
For wherever butterflies and rainbows meet a heart once broken
The comfort of an embrace is the flower they produce
It is peacefullness you thrust into my soul

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

This is just so beautiful. I'm almost speechless. So tender and lovely

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

This is sooo beautiful!!  Butterflies and rainbows, two of my favourite things.  Along with a tender embrace!  (((HUGS))) for this one...they are so comforting.  Enjoyed!!  Nancy.

Beautiful imagery. I especially liked the ending:
"For wherever butterflies and rainbows meet a heart once broken
The comfort of an embrace is the flower they produce
It is peacefullness you thrust into my soul"
