The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-09-23 10:32 AM

I walk through tears of salt and sand
Upon shores of alone I stand
to gather from her majesty
the oceans' strength, so close to me.

A dove circles over my head
reminds me what a wise man said
Listen, my friend, to what you hear
the answer thusly becomes clear.

A seashell made of silvered gold
the memories of home unfold
shores of alone must ever be
a place of naught but harmony.

Her tides and my life, high and low
In awe I stand to see her flow,
while still alone, I'll never be
deserted by my love, the sea.

Sandra~

Very beautifully introspective.  The ocean has that effect on many
Well expressed! - I love the end~

Take care,

Calming, constant...the sea.  It is a walk I should take again.  I love the feel of this poem, thanks.

So beautiful Sandra. The sea and its mystery. I imagine you as one with it here.
A very calling verse and poetically flowing with cleansing waves.

Sincerely,
