Smoke and mist swirl cross water,
‘tis sadness
remaining the sane walker,
while the world goes back to war,
‘tis sadness
look at insanity’s scar,
madmen disrupting the sane,
‘tis madness
now nothing will be the same,
gazing to the uncertain,
there’s darkness,
behind a bloody curtain
that must be pulled to reveal
the madness,
it’s our peace that they’ll steal.

Gloom

ProfessorGloom~
Quite a poignant piece of writing.

When the curtain calls begin ...
may peace do many an encore~

It is sadness, and madness, and you speak of it well.  Great form in this one PF, enjoyed.

Professor Gloom-
   Powerful thoughts here.
I agree with Marge...may 'peace' be
   the final act.
