There is a life upon treetop
that none of us can understand
tiny leaves unfold to sun--
a simple death--the reprimand

simple branch of basket weave
simply promise of believe---
a little leather of a branch--
the tingling touch of Titan's Trance

Every sentence that I speak
remains a tongue within your beak
As my claws become talon,
MY RAGE MAKES ME.
MY HATE BELONGS--
as I wish my hate leave me....
I wish that "Love" be all I speak.

Each night I sing this psalm--aware--
the eyes of Lucifer--beware...
Each day I thirst for dewdrop kiss
who knew that it would be like this.........

*sigh*
feeling every word of this one me twin
who knew....why ask why
hearthugs
me

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy

Picking up in the middle of where I left off whenever that was, with simple life comes simple death?  with a life lived straight and narrow, heaven awaits?  Satan has no reason to watch if you live the life of a leaf? I would think he'd watch more closely, revelling thricefold in the tiniest slip.

Don't know what Titan's Trance is.  Enlighten me.

The trials and tribulations of the clergy, taken in to the common girl's heart.  I see the moral value of controlling rage and anger, but you are controlling it for your spiritual value, which, although I understand, I don't UNDERSTAND.

Is reconcilliation a major part in your faith?  If you forgive yourself for you sin, and your Gods/Goddesses forgive you for your sin, and the person/thing you committed the sin against forgives you for your sin, does your sin flee your soul? Does saying a prayer each night remove sins from your soul, or prevent more from coming in?

anyways, thanks for the lunch break, doll.  *grins*  Back to work.  Ttyl

Indeed, this is a difficult time. Powerfully written Serenity ... you've expressed these sentiments clearly.

Best wishes,

Okay Philip....   I took some aspirin, and got some, um, rest and now I am in a better mood!

Titan's Trance? This was one of those judgement calls---do you not use a reference because you are convinced that NO ONE will ever get it? Or, do you stick to rainbows, stars and cotton candy clouds? So...? what the hell, this ain't rocket science, I took a chance.    Titan's Trance is a meditative exercize that I studied once, sort of a Yoga type thing that involved disciplined breathing and the tensing of muscles resulting in the obverse effect of relaxation. (So I go through phases...grins and shrugs...) and I apologize for calling you a pain in the ass...grinning again...probably just a Freudian slip of "wish"---now THERE'S A POEM...ROFL...

(serenity exits, cackling...)

*grins*  Y'know, as an administrator, I should remind you that you shouldn't use the word (edit).  LMAO!  But, since I personally don't care all that much if you call ME an (edit), I'll just ignore it for now. *Grins*

Anyways, as for whether to use something you know no one will understand, I say go for it.  Make someone do some research or simply ask the question 'why'.  I think phrases like this completely add to the poem.  Good write, again.  Stop laughin at me!  hehe

Now let me think here, what was that poem about anyway, I got hung up in the inter-action between Karen and Phil and plum forgot what the poem was about, so wait, I will go read it again...okay, I am back, and I thought this was a great poem and I get a point for knowing what Titan's Trance was too!  These are very confusing times and take us to a dark place, but I saw some hope in your poem too and enjoyed it as usual.

Excellent write, I know the feeling. You want only love, but the other creeps in and knocks you in the head anyway..

I'm so glad I'm not the only one pretzeling myself into something that remains soft and flexable. Our anger has to be worked out into the air and vanish into the wind. Cleansing I suppose. But I do imagine great clouds of bees climing higher and eclipsing the sun if we don't hang onto hope. But I'm weird anyway. You still have a voice of love.

Sincerely,
Regina
