Walking Rainbows

I’ve walked on rainbows several times
In paintings and in poetry rhymes
But never have I found a vend
That took me to the very end.

I’ve tried and tried in false and true
To paint a portrait true of you
But never have I found in store
That absolute that is your core

Veil on veil I’ve torn away
Yet still another cloak would stay.
Each moment turned to something new.
Beyond a clue in witless view

Your mist enfolds my oversee
Allusions froth with mystery
A golden haze with fires core
That burns and holds my soul in awe.

And so this fired torch remains
And my fantasy still reigns.

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong

some of my favorite words used here...inspired I was to write of the rainbows and myst reigning upon me and my moody blues today...inspired by your title first..and then after posting reading these heartfelt words...

as always, a wonderful poem, Sy
