~*~ His Kiss ~*~

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Will he see her for who she is?
Inside her dwell tentacles of terror.
She wears the scars of a battered and
bruised woman on her aching heart.

~*~

The first tentative awakening stirs
at the tender touch of his hand,
beguiling her with words of love.
She hesitates, curling into yesterday’s fear.

~*~

Not trusting her own soft heart
she feels such yearning for that warmth
wanting to lose herself in him.
He declares his desire to make her his.

~*~

Trembling with her indecision, yet
craving the sensation of belonging,
terrified of the loneliness and loss.
She hesitates at yesterday’s reflection.

~*~

Will he understand the hesitation,
envelop her with gentle tenderness
and nurture the slow beginnings
while she warms herself in his fire?

~*~

Desire becomes her compass on this journey.
She slowly drifts into his arms,
Strong against her inner storms of fear,
and is swallowed up in his kiss.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

As I read I drifted on a pop corn cloud in a gentle aromatic breeze and was swallowed by your most loving, serene heart-felt work of magical romance. In this time of tragic happenings it's always nice to read something soothing. Bravo!!!

You have painted a picture of someone you want to find true love....You created a whole personality in such a few words. Super!!

I , very recently, experienced this poem for real. and it was wonderful, but the infatuation period leaves quickly and my heart is in pain at the reality of the long term view of things. Poems are made of this romance and desire.
I am so very hurt all over again that i should just give up on the male gender and concentrate on less romantic notions. I won't find what Dawn found..that I know for my time is short at
Hand.
I LOVE YOU , MY FRIEND AND LOVE YOUR POETRY . I RE-VISITED YOUR WEBPAGE AND ENJOYED IT SO VERy MUCH.
LOVE, kOKO

Aloha with warmest regards, Koko

Walker ~ Yes, there are men that do care, and one has to "get a bad apples in the barrel to appreciate the sweet ones!"

Koko ~ Oh hon, I will call you!  How many times do I warn people of "internet romance", see when the fantasy wears off, and they eat their food with their mouths open, that is reality, and when you accept that - it works!  Hey...your time is NOT short - guess what?  Maggie (79 years old, in a wheelchair, and paralized down one side has herself a boyfriend!), but a big hug to you anyway, love can hurt sometimes, but the beauty is, we get lots of chances to find our soulmate and YES Dawn and Andy did, but that was beating the odds, and I have told her that!  They were lucky!

A Whisper's Caress ~ I too know that feeling, and wrote this from its memory, thank you.

Martie ~ Unless you have been like this woman it is hard to explain, but yes, you are so fragile, that even someone brushing by you too close, makes you jump!

Irish Rose ~ Honey you say that every time I use some of this artist's work - so know what I am going to do, share his site with you   here it is http://www.leslielevy.com/SHLimited%20Edition%20by%20Title.htm - his name, is Steve Hanks, not Tom, like I always put

My Enchanted Melody ~ That was the line!  A frightened, love-starved, but needy woman!

Wow, I didn't think anyone would even like this one, so thank you all for your responses.  Yanno, an abused woman in whatever form, has a long way back to trusting and if a man is gentle, understanding, and has patience, they have themselves one wonderful woman, as all she ever wanted was ONE man!
