My Country, Right Or Wrong

With tear in eye
and heart in hand
I vow forevermore
to love this land,
I pledge my devotion
to the home of the free
give glory to God
for this precious destiny,
I'll say it loud and I'll say it proud
I am Canadian! Brave to the core!
I stand united with my people
from sapphire sea to shining shore

This is the commonwealth of truth,
the seventh wonder of liberty,
yes, I adore my home sweet home
and cherish the gift of democracy
...my country, right or wrong
prosperous or faltering
weak or strong
the majestic North
rings heaven's song -
to my nation of birth
my spirit belongs,
for better or worse
'til death do us part
Canada the beautiful
you own my heart

By Melissa P. Monette

In memory of the Americans and Canadians
who lost their lives
in the senseless attack on 9/11/01,
this is a great tragedy that has forever changed
the world and our hearts...
I am truly sorry for the loss,
but, I know that America will prevail!

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy
