A Typed Relationship

Sorted letters from A to Z
a typed relationship, are We.
Arranged and cast to mold in space
with lines between the words in place.

My jumbled thoughts are set apart
transcribed, in code, from naked heart.
Styled to share my love of thee
as typed relationship, have We.

Complex, the art that occupies
each moments wake, each words disguise.
Planted words so carefully
a typed relationship, are We.

Joined by lines, expression phrased
these measured feelings, morning raised.
Formed of letters from A to Z
in typed relationship, are We.

Marked by boundaries and in-betweens
of rhyming thoughts upon a screen,
who would have thought that this would be
a typed relationship, of We.

==========================

this is clever write of theme, word play and rhyme....
on a topic many will relate to...
"cyber love" has become a way of day to day life, we have replaced real touch with fingers on keys and gazing at blue screens..
personally it leaves me feeling sad,
E for Empty
L for lonely
signed M  for Mothy Me

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy

sometimes the relationships are as real on here as if in real..don't discount that or the possibilities of having met in real..but I was writing about having to type words  so carefully making sure they aren't misunderstood as they don't come with inflections...  just trying to  stay writing I guess...

thank you Janet

Nice to see you, Sea..thank you

Wynter~
Well ... I've seen your 'typing' for over three years now~

Never missed an 'inflection' yet.
Continue to tell it like it is, sweet poet friend~

Actually, I thought this was a tad brilliant~

Sy, sometimes, I surprise myself...in the cute dept...thank you, glad you could enjoy it...it's been hard to write of anything lately.

Marge, I know, it's hard to believe..I thought it was just the other day that you told me it was two years ago...my life is   sometimes in slow motion moving too fast if you can understand that...somehow I believe you can..*s

brilliant??? what's that...I think I went into the  dictionary and kept looking up words that I thought fit the theme...and then let my mind do the rest...

hugs back

Caressing keys, massaging words, here whispered breeze and trilling birds. A sculpted phrase, a gift of poem, here soothing praise another home.

unfortunately, a typed relationship is usually not as fulfilling as the real thing. I enjoyed this, very creative.

Quoting wynter:
"having to type words so carefully making sure they aren't misunderstood as they don't come with inflections"
=============================

and so my words arent misunderstood
(I already got an email asking what I meant)

I dont ever discount the emotions nor the "realness" ... I know all too well how intense these relationships can be,
I'm a moth, remember
I wasnt putting down "cyber-love"
All I meant was for me personally after awhile typed words in place of real contact creates a void of longing, no matter how intense, it cant(nor should it) replace the feeling of that person being there one on one. Real Touch beats typing anytime
Just me speaking only for me.

So see Wynters poem's point is proven true...
the typed word is often interpretated differently from it intend.
excellent poem

such a nice gathering of keys...a very soothing touch you have..~Smiling a thank you

Kathleen..
I know what you mean

Janet Marie
I knew exactly what you meant..I am sorry you were emailed...and actually I wasn't talking cyber-love per se, for some the only means of keeping in touch regularly is through the keyboard...and yes...the longing is there to touch in real, to see the eyes, one on one.

thank you again for the excellent.

Thank you for your kind response

Wynter, I really enjoyed this. Made me think and you are right. So many times we write something but it is taken in the wrong context. Face to face is so much better but we can't always do that. If I only had "real" friends, for want of a better word  , I would lose so much. The typed contact will have to do until I can afford to visit some of them though.

Dee

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

Interpretations, inflections, a good point to ponder over ... human miscommunication is a fascinating area.  The poem has a neat rhythm and lightness of touch that doesn't let it get bogged down.
cheers,

You've woven the hardest part...and the
best part of the "typed relationship"...we
have the freedom to say what we are thinking
the responsibility to mean what we
type...much to ponder   excellent write~

Dee ...typed contact is the next best thing..or maybe a phone call is, although more expensive.  I hope you get to see some of your friends in real..*s

Sven...yes just amazing...thank you

Alan..thank you for your response. I think  many people ponder over misinterpretations,
perhaps  sometimes too late.
