A gorgeous baby girl
Breathed new life on earth this day
A little ray of sunshine
Had finally come our way

So beautiful yet so fragile
As radiant as the sun
So besotted by her presence
Were her proud new Dad and Mum

An angel in disguise
A gift from heaven above
How much joy you now bring us
As we surround you with our love

The colors of the rainbow
Have taken on a brighter glow
As we all now warmly welcome you
And look forward to watching your grow

Olivia Jorja Dickson
Such a breath of fresh air you are
High above in the constellations
We have a new bright and shining star

I wrote this for my wonderful friends, Katie and Jarrod who welcomed their first baby into the world on 8th September 2001.  It was nice for me to write about something happy for a change.  Thank you for reading.  Take care.....Sue
